About the Event

Moes Alley brings together JD Simoknown for work with Chris Isaak, Jack White, and Beyoncéand Luther Dickinson of North Mississippi Allstars and The Black Crowes in this raw, roots-blues trio featuring powerhouse drummer Adam Abrashoff. Their chemistry is deep, their grooves are dirty, and their live performances deliver a masterclass in high-energy, authentic blues. Luther celebrates the 25th anniversary of North Mississippi Allstars with a new album that continues to push Hill Country blues forward. JD has built a career on fearless reinvention, including key creative work on Bruce Springsteens upcoming biopic Deliver Me from Nowhere directed by Scott Cooper; he collaborated closely with both Bruce and Scott, supervised lead actor Jeremy Allen White, contributed to the film score, and worked on the soundtrack. Their collaborative album Do The Rump! has gained momentum, with the single Come On reaching #1 on SiriusXM Bluesville. The sound is raw, hypnotic, and thrillingly aliveequal parts Hill Country trance, psychedelic soul, and electrified jam. These trio shows are rare. The music is greasy. This is your chance to experience it live. Strange Vine delivers earthy, energetic music that fuses blues, psychedelia, and traditional American rock from two men raised in Californias Sierra Nevada Mountains. Ian Blesse plays drums and Rhodes piano simultaneously while Toby Cordova layers guitarsincluding a cigar box guitarinto a rich, textured sound greater than the sum of its parts. Strange Vine has performed alongside acts like Cage The Elephant, Band Of Skulls, Los Lobos, The Growlers, Delta Spirit, B.B. King, Robin Trower, Kurt Vile, Wild Belle, FUZZ, White Denim, Cedric Burnside, The Record Company, Pokey LaFarge, Meat Puppets, Reignwolf, JEFF The Brotherhood, and Lord Huron.
