About the Event
Jean-François Alcoléa, composer-scenographer, reimagines the cinematic legacy of Georges Méliès in Right in the Eye (En plein dans l'oeil). This live Movie-Concert draws from Méliès' celebrated films and is endorsed by his great-granddaughter. A multi-layered score brings Méliès' iconic works to life through a trio of virtuoso musicians who perform on an extraordinary array of instruments including piano, soundboard, percussion, guitar, aquaphone (marine harp), theremin, melodica, glockenspiel and everyday objects such as stemware, circular saws, whistles, flying plates and takeaway food lids. 3 Musicians - 50 Instruments - 11 Films.
