Fear and Desire (1953)

A fabricated conflict in an unnamed nation serves as the backdrop for this drama. Four soldiers survive their aircraft's forced landing to discover they are trapped six miles deep within enemy-held territory. Led by Lieutenant Corby, the group devises a strategy: reach a nearby river, construct a raft, and at night slip back across to allied lines.
