Fear and Desire (1953)

Four soldiers crash-land in a hostile nation's forest six miles beyond enemy lines. Led by Lieutenant Corby, they plan to reach a river at night, build a raft, and float back home under cover of darkness. Their escape route is disrupted when a young woman stumbles upon them hiding in the woods, and an approaching general threatens their safetywhile one soldier vows to kill him.
