Old Blind Dogs

The musical journey of Old Blind Dogs started in Aberdeen back in 1992, drawing inspiration from the diverse music scene that thrived in the Granite City during the early nineties. Four musicians with varied musical backgrounds united to form a full-time professional touring group, aiming to present the rich tradition of songs and tunes from Scotland's northeast region on an international stage.Much like many early Scottish folk bands, the Old Blind Dogs lineup has experienced necessary changes over time, yet the core principles at the heart of their music remain strong. The current band features some of the most accomplished traditional Scottish musicians: Aaron Jones (cittern/guitar/vocals), Donald Hay (percussion/vocals), Mike Katz (pipes/whistles), and Jonny Hardie (fiddle, vocals). Together they represent one of the most exciting live performances on today's traditional Scottish music scene.
