Old Blind Dogs

The musical journey of Old Blind Dogs started in Aberdeen back in 1992, drawing inspiration from the diverse music scene that thrived in the Granite City during the early nineties. Four musicians with varied backgrounds united to form a professional touring group dedicated to presenting the rich song and tune heritage of Scotland's northeast region on an international platform. Much like many pioneering Scottish folk bands, the Old Blind Dogs lineup has experienced necessary changes over time, yet the core principles guiding their music remain steadfast. The present band features some of the most accomplished traditional Scottish musicians currently active: Aaron Jones (cittern/guitar/vocals), Donald Hay (percussion/vocals), Mike Katz (pipes/whistles), and Jonny Hardie (fiddle, vocals), together representing one of the most exciting live offerings in contemporary Scottish traditional music.
