Jerry Bergonzi & Sean Pentland Quartet

Bassist and composer Sean Pentland, leading Ensemble Caduceus, has established his reputation through premieres at Seoul Arts Center Summer Festival (2023), Naju Contemporary Music Festival (2021), and various other venues throughout Korea. His compositions, together with works co-led with saxophone pioneer Jerry Bergonzi in the Pentland/Bergonzi Quartet, will feature on upcoming 2025 albums. Formed through years of experience across Great Britain, Germany, and South Korea, Sean has performed internationally alongside Don Braden, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Luciana Souza, Bobby Wellins, Tina May, Damon Brown, Johannes Enders, and Bergonzi himself. He studied at New England Conservatory and Berklee's Global Jazz Institute and has instructed students at Paekche Institute of the Arts, Edinburgh University, and Litchfield Jazz Camp. Tenor saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi is renowned globally for his inventive playing style, extensive discography, and significant influence in jazz education.
