SUBATOMIC SOUND SYSTEM WITH SCREECHY DAN: 50th anniversary performance of Lee "Scratch" Perry's Super Ape

Subatomic Sound System + Screechy Dan will stage a multimedia live performance of the 1976 dub masterpiece by their former band leader and mentor, Jamaican reggae inventor Lee Scratch Perry to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the album release. The show will incorporate never before heard audio and video of Scratch. In 2016, Lee Scratch Perry Super Ape Returns to Conqueralbum based on the reimagined live versions of the songs. On the new recording, which turned out to be Scratchs highest charting ever Billboard release, Brooklyn via Trenchtown. Singjay legend Screechy Dan voiced many of the classic vocals from the original album while Scratch added all new vocals which will be heard and dubbed in this performance.
