PARTICLE KID: AcoustiQuest 2026

Particle Kid: Acoustiquest 2026! Micah, Aroyn & Milo perform raw unplugged songs accompanied by live water cymatics and visual projections created by SisterLu. This is an event for humans only. Seating is open but may be limited or standing room only; first come, first seated. The open dance floor may obscure some sightlines. Micah Nelson, a Los Angeles-based composer and multi-media artist known as Particle Kid, creates work that spans the creative spectrum in ways few others do. His journey began at age eleven with animations and videos he made himself using iMovie, then a home camcorder to film his family, friends, pets, action figures, and anything else available. Inspired by animators like Ray Harryhausen, Tim Burton, Jan Svankmajer, and Bruce Bickford, he started making flip-books from post-it notes found at home and school. The constraints fostered creativity and produced something unique. He discovered how music combined with images could transform a simple homemade film into something emotionally powerful, falling in love with the alchemy of sound and vision.
