About the Event
Liam Kazar performs Doors at 7PM; show begins at 8PM. Tickets are $17 for advance purchase or $20 for door sales. The event is for attendees aged 21 and older. Liam Kazar was born in Chicago but now lives in Brooklyn as a singer-songwriter whose music blends folk, rock, pop, jazz, and alt-country styles that shift within moments. He grew up in a musically active family and started performing at a young age, developing his skills through years of working with other musicians and touring with artists including Jeff Tweedy and Hannah Cohen. His solo career began in 2021 with the album Due North, which features upbeat arrangements and themes about existential worries. He is now releasing Pilot Light, his second full-length album that he has been preparing for a long time. This record represents his most personal work to date and was produced by Sam Evian with input from several of his close collaborators. The project explores the lasting warmth of love, loss, and self-discovery through stripped-back arrangements and direct sound production. Kazar's songwriting on this album shows quiet confidence as he develops into a distinctive voice in indie music. Brad Goodall is also performing new songs that draw inspiration from his upbringing and explain why he remains there. His performances feature 1970s-style piano riffs paired with heartland-inspired lyrics, delivered live with an energetic stage presence.
