The High Society New Orleans Jazz Band

The High Society New Orleans Jazz Band, led by veteran trumpeter Simon Wettenhall and Grammy-winning pianist Conal Fowkes, is a New Orleans-style jazz ensemble that has served as Woody Allen's preferred musical group for decades across his films, tours, and regular performances. The band has performed on major concert stages throughout Europe and the United States, with members appearing in and providing music for Woody Allen movies including Wild Man Blues, Sweet and Lowdown, Midnight in Paris, Blue Jasmine, Cafe Society, Magic In The Moonlight, and A Rainy Day In New York. Their driving sound demonstrates the enduring relevance of New Orleans jazz, earning them an international following recognized by critics and jazz enthusiasts alike. Over their twenty-year residency at the Cafe Carlyle, they attracted legendary jazz musicians such as Chick Corea, Marian McPartland, and Diana Krall to perform with them.
