The High Society New Orleans Jazz Band

The High Society New Orleans Jazz Band, led by veteran trumpeter Simon Wettenhall and Grammy-winning pianist Conal Fowkes, is a New Orleans-style jazz ensemble that has served as Woody Allen's musical partner for decades across his films, tours, and live performances. The group has performed on major concert stages throughout Europe and the United States. Band members have appeared in and provided music for Woody Allen films including Wild Man Blues, Sweet and Lowdown, Midnight in Paris, Blue Jasmine, Cafe Society, Magic In The Moonlight, and A Rainy Day In New York. Their driving sound reflects the enduring relevance of New Orleans jazz and they enjoy an international following. Praised by critics and jazz lovers alike, they have drawn jazz legends such as Chick Corea, Marian McPartland, and Diana Krall to sit in with them during their twenty-year residency at the Cafe Carlyle.
