Isaiah J. Thompson Quartet

Isaiah J. Thompson is originally from West Orange, New Jersey. He began studying piano under Alla Epelbaum at The Calderone School of Music and Bob Mikula as a child before joining Jazz House Kids and NJPACs Jazz For Teens programs. He later entered The Juilliard School, where he earned both his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees, followed by further study in theology and the arts at Fuller Theological Seminary. In 2019, Isaiah joined the John Pizzarelli Trio and has since performed with Christian McBride, Steve Turre, Catherine Russell, and Buster Williams. His first recording appeared on Jazz at Lincoln Centers Handful of Keys album featuring the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra under Wynton Marsalis, and he has released several subsequent albums as a leader.
