Delfeayo Marsalis & The Uptown Jazz Orchestra

Delfeayo Marsalis is an internationally recognized trombonist, composer, and producer whose extensive career spans music theatre and education. The artist grew up immersed in music within his family, which includes his father Ellis and other accomplished musicians. He has performed worldwide alongside legendary jazz artists such as Ray Charles, Art Blakey, Max Roach, Elvin Jones, and Slide Hampton, while also leading his own ensembles. At seventeen, he launched a career as a producer and has since released more than 120 recordings that have earned one Grammy award along with numerous nominations. In 2008, he established the Uptown Jazz Orchestra, an engaging group committed to preserving core jazz elements including riff playing, New Orleans polyphony, and improvisational arrangements.
