World-class trumpeter Chris Botti returns to the Blue Note Jazz Club for his 21st consecutive December holiday residency, running through early January. The lineup features Lee Pearson on drums, Julius Rodriguez at piano, and bassist Barry Stephenson from mid-December until December 21, with Phil Norris taking over from December 22 through January 4. Special guests include vocalist John Splithoff for all dates, violinist Anastasiia Mazurok throughout the run, guitarist Gilad Hekselman (Dec 814), saxophonist Chris Potter (Dec 1721 and Dec 2729), vocalists Fernando Varela (Dec 28Jan 3) and Veronica Swift (Dec 814, Dec 26Jan 4), plus Sy Smith (Dec 1525). The club offers a full bar and dinner menu with a $20 minimum per person. Seating is first come, first served; arrive early to guarantee your party sits together. Bar seating is limited and sold on a first-come basis; when full, the area becomes standing room only. Table seating allows all ages, but the bar requires guests to be 21 or olderbar tickets cannot be exchanged for table seats and are non-refundable.
