Stephen Walker's "Swinging in New Orleans" Record ReleaseStephen Walker is a New Orleansbased trombonist, composer, and bandleader known for his dynamic versatility and deep roots in the citys musical traditions. A product of the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, Walker began performing at a young age and toured internationally as a teenager with Irvin Mayfield. Mentored by Delfeayo Marsalis, he has gone on to perform and record with artists including Harry Connick Jr., Branford Marsalis, Nicholas Payton, Trombone Shorty, and Kermit Ruffins. Blending gospel roots with jazz, funk, and contemporary styles, Walker has developed a distinctive voice on the trombone and continues to perform locally and internationally, bringing the spirit of New Orleans to audiences worldwide.
