About the Event
Honduran-born pianist Oscar Rossignoli weaves together classical training with his deep love of Latin and North American jazz traditions. He calls New Orleans home now, collaborating regularly with top local musicians such as John Boutt, Jason Marsalis, Gladney, Amina Scott, and Yusa. His career includes work in the EXTENDED trio alongside Matt Booth and Brad Webb, plus leading both a quartet and a trio. Rossignoli completed his masters studies at the University of New Orleans, where he received the 2015-2016 ASCAP Louis Armstrong Scholar award and was a finalist in the 2018 Ellis Marsalis International Jazz Piano Competition. Tonight he performs with bassist Lex Warshawsky and drummer Peter Varnado. Concerts begin at 7:30pm and 9:30pm; doors open at 7:00pm and 9:00pm respectively. The restaurant operates from 5pm to 10pm, offering dinner before or after the shows. Advance ticket holders may reserve a table in the Dining Room through OpenTable.com or by emailing reservations@snugjazz.com after purchasing online. Those without advance tickets can still dine at the restaurant with first-come-first-served seating based on arrival time. The Bar Room stays open from 5pm to midnight, regardless of ticket status. Please note that only cheese and charcuterie trays, cocktails, and soft drinks are served inside the Music Room to maintain the quiet atmosphere essential for our intimate performances. We recommend arriving at least ninety minutes before your showtime to enjoy full dinner service in the adjacent Dining Room before settling into the Music Room for your concert.
