Mark Braud's Colossus Brass Band Record Release

Trumpeter Mark Braud brings the soul of New Orleans to life through his dynamic performances that reinterpret jazz tradition with fresh energy and authentic groove. Raised in New Orleans within a family of celebrated musicians, Braud draws inspiration from traditional jazz, R&B, and classic American songs. He has performed extensively with Harry Connick Jr.'s band since 2001, served as leader of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band from 2008 to 2016, and collaborated with an impressive array of artists including the Treme Brass Band, the Marsalis family, the Blind Boys of Alabama, the Foo Fighters, John Oates, Tom Waits, My Morning Jacket, Mos Def, and Erykah Badu. Tonight marks the release of his new project, Colossus Brass Band. The performance lineup includes trumpeters Mark Braud, Kevin Louis, and Wendell Brunious; reed players Bruce Brackman and Roderick Paulin; trombonists Craig Klein and Freddie Lonzo; and rhythm section members Kirk Joseph, Gregg Stafford, and Gerald French. Showtimes are 7:30pm and 9:30pm with doors opening at 7:00pm and 9:00pm respectively. The restaurant operates from 5pm to 10pm for dinner before or after the concert. Dinner service without advance tickets is on a first-come, first-served basis depending on availability upon arrival. Please note that full menu items are not served inside the Music Room; only charcuterie trays and soft drinks are available for table service there to maintain the intimate concert atmosphere. We recommend arriving at least 90 minutes before your showtime to enjoy complete dinner service in the adjacent Dining Room before settling into the Music Room for your ticketed performance.
