About the Event
A lively New Orleans pianist brings together traditional Crescent City piano styles with contemporary jazz, classical skill, and rhythmic energy. He studied under Ellis Marsalis at the University of New Orleans where he earned his master's degree before becoming a regular on the citys music scene as both solo artist and collaborator with musicians like Bruce Hornsby, Maria Muldaur, the Wild Magnolias, and Debbie Davis. As an expert on New Orleans piano legends, he has published transcriptions featuring James Booker, Professor Longhair, and others. Doors open at 4:30 pm; show runs from 5 to 6 pm. Performances are available in person or via live stream on the Snug Harbor Facebook page. This free concert requires no tickets with seating assigned first come first served.
