Jason Marsalis' Tribute to Ellis MarsalisCelebrate the life and legacy of Ellis Marsalis, the legendary pianist, composer, and educator who helped shape modern New Orleans Jazz. This special tribute features a few of his most accomplished protgs Jason Marsalis, Jon Cowherd, and Victor Goines. Jason Marsalis, the youngest of the Marsalis brothers, is a virtuosic drummer and vibraphonist whose inventive style bridges New Orleans tradition and modern jazz. Victor Goines, acclaimed saxophonist, clarinetist, and former President musicians musician, best known for co-founding the Grammy-nominated Brian Blade & The Fellowship Band with Brian Blade, and admired for his versatility as a keyboardist, composer, and musical director. Raised in Kentucky and shaped by New Orleans, his path was transformed after hearing Ellis Marsalis, inspiring his lifelong pursuit of jazz excellence.Together, they honor Ellis Marsalis enduring influence as a musical visionary. However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your ticketed showtime.
