About the Event
Delfeayo Marsalis, celebrated trombonist, producer, and educator, brings technical mastery, imaginative vision, and a touch of humor to his performances. Recognized as one of the most inventive and musically gifted trombonists of his generation, he has shared stages with legends such as Ray Charles, Fats Domino, Art Blakey, and Elvin Jones. His ten solo recordings have earned widespread critical acclaim, establishing him as a joyful ambassador of jazz. When Delfeayo leads the Uptown Jazz Orchestra, audiences are promised an all-night celebration filled with music, laughter, and the distinctive New Orleans spirit that defines the ensembles approach to big band performance. Shows begin at 7:30pm and 9:30pm; doors open at 7:00pm and 9:00pm respectively. The restaurant operates from 5pm until 10pm, offering dinner before or after any concert. Advance ticket holders may reserve a table in the Dining Room through OpenTable.com or by emailing reservations@snugjazz.com following their online purchase. Without advance tickets, dining is first-come, first-served based on arrival time. Please note that full menu service is not available inside the Music Room to maintain the quiet atmosphere essential for intimate concerts. Only charcuterie boards and non-alcoholic beverages are served in the performance space. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at least ninety minutes before their showtime to enjoy complete dining service in the adjacent Dining Room, then move into the Music Room for their ticketed concert.
