Brad has made a name for himself both as a bandleader and a sought-after collaborator. Walker has performed and recorded with renowned artists such as Anders Osborne, George Porter Jr., and Rickie Lee Jones. Born in 1945 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Jarrett gained early recognition as a member of Art Blakeys Jazz Messengers before joining the Charles Mingus and Miles Davis groups, contributing to Daviss groundbreaking electric jazz fusion era. As a bandleader, he led his own ensembles, including his famed American Quartet with Dewey Redman, Charlie Haden, and Paul Motian, as well as his European Quartet featuring Jan Garbarek, Palle Danielsson, and Jon Christensen. His legendary The Kln Concert (1975) remains one of the best-selling solo piano recordings of all time, showcasing his deeply expressive and spontaneous style.
