Brad Walker presents: 'Mysteries', the Music of Keith JarretBrad Walker is one of the most active and sought-after saxophonists in the city of New Orleans today. Perhaps best known for his soaring (Rolling Stone), energetic (NPR), and tasteful (Relix) solos on Saturday Night Live, the 2017 Grammy Awards, and The Tonight Show with Nashville mega-star Sturgill Simpson, Walker is with six full-length releases under his own name and over a decade of music-making in the Crescent City under his belt. Walker has performed and recorded with renowned artists such as Anders Osborne, George Porter Jr., and Rickie Lee Jones. His soulful improvisations and intricate arrangements has earned him recognition in both the jazz and rock communities of New Orleans and beyond.Tonight, Brad Walker presents Mysteries, the Music of Keith JarretKeith Jarrett is a highly influential American pianist and composer known for his extraordinary improvisational ability and genre-defying career that spans jazz, classical, and solo piano performances. Born in 1945 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Jarrett gained early recognition as a member of Art Blakeys Jazz Messengers before joining the Charles Mingus and Miles Davis groups, contributing to Daviss groundbreaking electric jazz fusion era. As a bandleader, he led his own ensembles, including his famed American Quartet with Dewey Redman, Charlie Haden, and Paul Motian, as well as his European Quartet featuring Jan Garbarek, Palle Danielsson, and Jon Christensen. His legendary The Kln Concert (1975) remains one of the best-selling solo piano recordings of all time, showcasing his deeply expressive and spontaneous style. Throughout his career, he has also collaborated with Gary Peacock and Jack DeJohnette in the long-running Standards Trio, leaving an indelible mark on modern jazz with his lyrical phrasing and innovative approach to improvisation.Shows at 7:30pm & 9:30pmDoors 7:00pm & 9:00pm Restaurant is Open 5pm - 10pm for dinner before or after your showtime:Advance Ticket Holders can now automatically make dinner table reservations for the Dining Room online via OpenTable.com !Advance Ticket-Holders can also make table reservations for dinner by Emailingreservations@snugjazz.com after your tickets have been purchased online.
