Benny and the Late Bloomers Tribute to the Crusaders

Online advance ticket pricing is always lower than walkup ticket pricing. Since 2014, Eric Benny Bloom has collaborated with many of the legendary artists of the New Orleans music scene. In 2016, he played trumpet on Aaron Nevilles album, Apache and won a Grammy for playing trumpet on Jon Clearys album, Go-Go Juice. As a member of the band Lettuce, he regularly brings his incendiary trumpet playing to audiences around the world. We are thrilled to welcome Eric to Chickie Wah Wah as the leader of his own outfit, the Late Bloomers. Born out of regular jam sessions at the Maple Leaf bar and Chickie Wah Wah, this band of heavy hitters brought the funk to the Big Easy for years. This special reunion show will bring the band back together to release an album of material that has been waiting for just the right time to emerge. With Brad Walker on tenor saxophone, Ari Teitel on guitar, Eric Vogel on bass, Alvin Ford Jr. on drums, Andriu Yanovski and Nigel Hall on keys, this is a Fest-o-matic funk show that you will NOT want to miss!
