Sunday Writers Night Auditions

This audition is open to those interested in performing on our Sunday Writers Night series, which occurs each Sunday evening at 8:00 pm. PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST EITHER A) BE A MEMBER OF NSAI OR B) RESIDE WITHIN 100 MILES OF NASHVILLE, TN TO QUALIFY FOR THIS AUDITION! DO NOT REGISTER IF YOU FAIL TO MEET ONE OF THESE REQUIREMENTS OR YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED.You must be in line outside The Bluebird no later than 10:15 a.m. to check in. Performers will be called in the order they arrive. Please arrive on time; those who come after 10:30 a.m. will not participate. Plan to play one verse and one chorus of an original song you wrote (or co-wrote.) Long instrumental introductions and endings are disadvantageous as you have approximately one minute total for your audition. Because of the large number of songwriters and room size, especially with many instruments present, we require that no one accompany you in line or watch your performance since space is limited.Please bring your own guitar with a strap (as you will be standing.) You may plug it into our system or we can microphone it. If plugging in, ensure the pickup battery is charged! Thanks to Taylor, we have a house guitar available if needed. Thanks to Kawai, we have a house keyboard ready for use. Do not bring your own instrument as there is limited space and it will NOT be used!Absolutely NO BACKING TAPES! NO drum sets or kits.
