Blue Monday: Ivan Singh

Ivan Singh is an Argentine blues guitarist and vocalist who recently relocated to Chicago, where he has quickly earned recognition within the local blues scene and a dedicated audience spanning generations and backgrounds. He is emerging as a prominent figure in Chicagos musical landscape through his distinctive Latin-blues style that blends Spanish-English lyrics with original compositions on a homemade four-string guitar called Lata de Batata, backed by a six-piece ensemble featuring horn players. Beyond U.S. performances, he has toured internationally across America, Europe, and Asia; notably, in 2023 he appeared at Mahindra Blues Fest India sharing the stage with Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal, and Kingfish Ingram.
