Big HBCU Southern Classic: Battle of the Bands

The historic college band competition returns to Charlotte! Ten HBCU ensembles will compete in the Southern Classic Battle of the Bands for the first time ever, featuring Mississippi Valley, Talladega, Winston Salem State, Benedict, Johnson C. Smith, South Carolina State Bongo Brothers, Alcorn, Hampton, North Carolina Central and North Carolina A&T. Saturday January 24th begins with a food truck festival from noon until five, followed by the championship battle at five o'clock. This competition will sell out quicklyarrive early! Children three years old and younger attend free.
