About the Event
An intimate acoustic evening of live jazz performances in a restored 19th-century Victorian brownstone located in Bedford-Stuyvesants historic central Brooklyn community, where visitors are transported back to an earlier era as they enter. BrownstoneJAZZ ensembles present the finest of past jazz legends and contemporary frontier musicians, swinging with authentic style for all audiences to enjoy. Bed Stuy, Brooklyn, and SugarHill, Harlem were both major jazz communities when Ella Fitzgerald sang TAKE THE A TRAIN connecting New York Citys two jazz hubs. Curator Debbie McClain and M.C., bassist Eric Lemons host as you discover this old-school venue for a unique jazz experience. Tables and seats are limited; purchase early. Dress to impressit is the Jazz Age! Cocktail attire and period-style clothing are encouraged. Leave jeans, shorts, t-shirts, and hoodies outside. No athletic wear, tank tops, or t-shirts inside. No refunds under any circumstances. ID required. No pets. Bring your own brown bagno shopping bags or backpacks allowed inside. No smoking, vaping, or anything close.
