About the Event

Dave Simonett started Trampled by Turtles in Duluth as a side project in 2003 after losing his instruments to thieves who broke into his car during a performance with his former band. With only an acoustic guitar remaining, he assembled the group by drawing on bluegrass and folk music traditions that didn't depend on amplification equipment.
