Founded in 2007 by Yamoussa Bangoura, a Guinean artist of many talents, the company was born from his dream of creating both a circus arts school and an African arts enterprise. Raised in Conakry, Guinea, he developed circus skills inspired by television performers and the Nyamakala tradition before joining Circus Baobob on tours across Africa and Europe.
