Surface parking in downtown Austin is complimentary on Sundays and after 6pm on Mondays. Trinity Garage offers free access all day Sunday; its daily fee is $3 per half-hour, capped at $24 for the full day. A flat rate of $10 applies from Thursday through Sunday between 4pm and 6am, while Fridays and Saturdays carry a $12 flat rate starting at 6am on Fridays and 8am on Sundays. Parking availability may be reduced and rates higher during special downtown events. If attendants follow the posted schedule, the garage elevator is typically disabled around 10pm nightly and remains off most Saturday days; patrons with mobility limitations should park in the plaza area near the fountains rather than under the awning. The surface lot located at the southwest corner of 9th Street and Trinity Boulevard charges $8 for up to one hour, $15 for hours between one and ten, and $25 for overnight stays from 5pm until 10am. Availability may be limited and costs increased during downtown special events. During listed times, metered parking is priced at $1 per hour with maximum stay limits that vary by zone; meters accept MasterCard, Visa, debit cards, or coins. Meters are free outside the hours shown below: between Cesar Chavez Street and 10th Street, and between IH-35 and Lamar Boulevard on Monday through Tuesday from 8am to 6pm.
