Surface parking in downtown Austin is free on Sundays and after 6pm on Mondays. Trinity Garage offers complimentary access throughout Sunday. The daily fee for the garage is $3 per half-hour, capped at $24 per day. A flat rate of $10 applies from Sunday through Thursday between 4pm and 6am; a flat rate of $12 applies from Friday to Saturday starting at 8am on Fridays and ending at 8am on Sundays. Parking availability during downtown special events may be limited and more expensive. If parking attendants follow the established schedule, the elevator in the garage is turned off around 10pm each night and remains off all day most Saturdays. Please direct patrons with mobility challenges to park on the plaza near the fountains rather than under the awning. The surface lot located at the southwest corner of 9th and Trinity charges $8 for up to one hour, $15 for one to ten hours, and $25 for overnight parking from 5pm until 10am. Availability during downtown special events may be limited and more expensive. During the listed hours, metered parking costs $1 per hour with varying maximum stay times that differ by area. Meters accept MasterCard, Visa, debit cards, or coins. Metered parking is free outside the listed hours. The meters covering the area between Cesar Chavez and 10th Street and between IH-35 and Lamar Boulevard operate Monday through Tuesday from 8am to 6pm.
