Downtown Austin street parking is complimentary on Sundays and after 6pm on Mondays. The Trinity Garage offers free access throughout Sunday. Daily rates are $3 per half-hour, capped at $24 daily. Flat fees of $10 apply from Sunday through Thursday between 4pm and 6am; $12 applies Friday through Saturday from 6am until 8am or 10am depending on the day. Parking availability may be limited during special downtown events and rates could increase accordingly. If parking attendants follow their posted schedule, elevators in the garage are typically deactivated around 10pm nightly and remain off most Saturdays. Patrons with mobility challenges should park at the plaza area near the fountains rather than under the awning. The surface lot located at the southwest corner of 9th Street and Trinity Boulevard charges $8 for up to one hour, $15 for one to ten hours, or $25 for overnight parking from 5pm until 10am. Availability during special downtown events may be limited and rates could increase accordingly. Metered parking is available at various locations with hourly rates of $1 per hour; maximum stay times vary by zone. Meters accept credit cards or coins. Parking is free outside the listed hours. The area between Cesar Chavez Street and 10th Street, along with the stretch from IH-35 to Lamar Boulevard, operates under these metered rules Monday through Tuesday from 8am until 6pm.
