Downtown Austin offers complimentary surface parking on Sundays and after 6pm on Mondays. The Trinity Garage provides free access throughout Sunday. Daily rates are $3 for each half-hour interval, capped at $24 per day. A flat fee of $10 applies from Thursday through Saturday between 4pm and 6am; a $12 flat rate covers Fridays and Saturdays from 6am until the following morning's 8am. Parking availability may be reduced and pricing higher during special downtown events. If attendants follow their posted schedule, elevators in the garage are typically deactivated around 10pm nightly and remain off most Saturday days. Patrons with mobility needs should park on the plaza area near the fountains rather than under the awning. The surface lot situated at the southwest corner of 9th Street and Trinity has these charges: $8 for stays up to one hour, $15 for stays between one and ten hours, and $25 for overnight parking from 5pm until 10am. Availability may be limited and costs higher during downtown special events. During listed times, metered parking is priced at one dollar per hour with varying maximum stay limits by area; meters accept MasterCard, Visa, debit cards, or coins. Meters are free outside the hours specified. Metered zones cover the stretch between Cesar Chavez Street and 10th Street, extending from IH-35 to Lamar Boulevard. Monday through Tuesday parking is available from 8am until 6pm.
