About the Event
Maestro Nathalie Stutzmann and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra transport listeners to Viennas 1809, when French forces besieged a city famed for its beer halls, café culture, and grand Baroque architecture. Amid this turmoil, composer Franz Schubert found inspiration in his pen to create music of enduring grace. The ensemble presents Schuberts enchanting Ballet Music No. 2 from the score Rosamunde. Following this, the Atlanta Symphony Chamber Chorus performs his sublime Mass No. 2. The concert concludes with the orchestras powerful Great Symphony in C Major under Stutzmanns baton.
