Winterruption YEG 2026 features Shad & Open Mike Eagle at the Starlite Room on January 24, 2026, starting doors at 9:30 PM and the show at 10 PM. All current tickets remain valid with an all-ages policy requiring ID for alcohol service. The event takes place on Treaty 6 territorythe ancestral lands of the nehiyaw, Dene, Stoney Nakoda, Nakota Sioux, Annishnabe, Metis, and Inuit peopleswith organizers acknowledging this land as a foundation for reconciliation and gratitude toward Indigenous histories, languages, and cultures that shape their music community. The opening lineup includes Fear from Los Angeles making their Edmonton debut after nearly four decades, Talib Kweli from Brooklyn, Thumpasaurus, Open Mike Eagle, Discovery Zone from Berlin, Annie-Claude Deschnes of Duchess Says from Montreal, The OBGMS (Polaris Prize shortlisted), PISS from Vancouver, Miz Cracker, The Shivas from Portland, Sour Widows from the Bay Area, Vivek Shraya, and Sean Nicholas Savage.
