Ribbon Skirt w/ Cryptozoologists & Dual Nature - Winterruption YEG 2026

A post-punk act from Montreal featuring Anishinaabe musician Tashiina Buswa and guitarist Billy Riley brings raw, enveloping sound to the Starlite Room at Temple on Friday, January 23, 2026, starting doors at 9:30 PM with a show beginning at 10 PM. Their debut album Bite Down was released in April 2025 and received critical acclaim including an Album of the Week feature from Stereogum and a shortlist nomination for the 2025 Polaris Music Prize. The event also includes performances by Whitehorses Cryptozoologists and local band Dual Nature. Winterruption YEG acknowledges this gathering occurs on Treaty 6 territory, the traditional lands of the nehiyaw, Dene, Stoney Nakoda, Nakota Sioux, Annishnabe peoples, as well as Metis and Inuit communities. The organizers recognize that their work is an act of reconciliation and gratitude for the land they occupy or visit, acknowledging that important work remains to honor treaties and Indigenous histories, languages, and cultures within the music community.
