About the Event
A live performance unfolds on open grassland; attendees should bring their own blankets as seating is not supplied. Doors unlock one hour before the show begins. Ratty, Mole, Badger, Otter, Portly and Mr Toad gather to stage Kenneth Grahame's beloved tale of life along a riverbank in this award-winning outdoor theatrical production filled with music, songs and humour. Suitable for all ages, Head Chief Rabbit turns the audience into rabbits by wiggling ears and nose; young participants are invited to join the action, shout out loud, sing together and take part in the adventure. Laughs and surprises await both children and adults as this interactive theatre experience reaches its peak. After more than 35 years at Melbourne's Royal Botanic Gardens and over two decades in Sydney's Royal Botanic Garden, The Wind in the Willows remains Australia's most cherished affordable family entertainment.
