About the Event
The show unfolds on open grassland; attendees should bring their own blankets as seating is not supplied. Doors unlock one hour before the curtain rises. Gather Ratty, Mole, Badger, Otter, Portly, and Mr Toad to stage Kenneth Grahame's beloved tale of riverbank living in this award-winning outdoor production filled with music, songs, and laughter. Young and old alike enjoy as Head Chief Rabbit turns the crowd into rabbits through ear wags and nose twitches. Little "rabbits" are invited to participate actively, shouting, singing along, and joining the adventure. Laughs and surprises await children and adults in this interactive theatre experience at its finest. After more than 35 years in Melbourne's Royal Botanic Gardens and 20 years in Sydney's Royal Botanic Garden, The Wind in the Willows remains Australia's most cherished affordable family entertainment.
