About the Event
The show unfolds on open grassland seating; attendees should bring their own blankets as chairs are not supplied. Doors unlock one hour before curtain rises. Ratty, Mole, Badger, Otter, Portly and Mr Toad lead the cast in bringing Kenneth Grahames beloved riverbank tale to life with music, songs and laughter throughout. This acclaimed outdoor theatre production offers entertainment for all ages as Head Chief Rabbit turns everyone into rabbits through ear wags and nose twitches. Young rabbits are invited to join the action directly, encouraged to shout, sing along and take part in the adventure. Full of jokes and surprises for both children and adults, this is interactive theatre at its finest. Celebrating over 35 years at Melbournes Royal Botanic Gardens and 20 years at Sydneys Royal Botanic Garden, The Wind in the Willows remains Australias most cherished affordable family attraction.
