For two hours and twenty minutes under the night sky, the Australian Shakespeare Company returns to one of its most cherished comediesTwelfth Night. Sir Toby Belch is thought by many to have invented the art of partying; Sir Andrew Aguecheek has lost all sense of intelligence and remains naturally foolish; Malvolio is a power-hungry puritan who plummets from great moral heights when pushed by Sir Toby; Maria, the housemaid, outwits Malvolio and trains Sir Toby in household matters. Then there is Viola, the shipwrecked girl who cross-dresses as a boy to find work, Olivia, the grieving noblewoman who rejects one suitor only to fall for another in disguise, and Orsino, the lovesick Duke whose heart changes course when truth and identity collide.
