About the Event
A two-hour-and-twenty-minute theatrical experience under the night sky featuring the Australian Shakespeare Company's popular comedy Twelfth Night. The production introduces Sir Toby Belch, known as the originator of social gatherings; Sir Andrew Aguecheek, an inept and comical nobleman; Malvolio, a stern religious figure who experiences a dramatic fall in character when manipulated by Sir Toby; Maria, the servant girl who cleverly tricks Malvolio and trains Sir Toby. Viola, a young woman shipwrecked on shore who assumes male clothing to secure employment, Olivia, an aristocratic widow who turns down one suitor before falling for another while disguised, and Orsino, the Duke of Illyria whose romantic feelings shift when secrets are revealed.
